Welike take away service, we enjoy the convenience of the current paper cupsbring to us and it had been an essential part of our life without any doubt.

Buthave you ever thought about that if the current paper cup we used is goodenough for our environment?

Whatwe call “paper cup” is wrong as it mainly composed of paper+ polyethylene linerinside.

Before2021, the EU banned the use of disposable plastic products. Plastic packagingused throughout the EU will be recyclable in 2023.

By 2025,70% of plastic packaging in Australia will be recycled or composted, socommodity packaging will contain 30% of the recycled material.

What is the difference between PE, PLA and Water-basedcoating cups?

PE protective film, full namePolyethylene, is the simplest polymer organic compound and the most widely usedpolymer material in the world today. The PE protective film uses a specialpolyethylene (PE) plastic film as the base material, and is divided intohigh-density polyethylene protective film, medium-density polyethylene andlow-density polyethylene according to the density.

Polylacticacid (PLA)is a new type of biodegradable material, made from starch raw materialsproposed by renewable plant resources (such as corn).

• It hasgood biodegradability and can be completely degraded by microorganisms innature within 1~1.5 years under specific conditions, and finally carbon dioxideand water are generated without polluting the environment. This is verybeneficial to environmental protection and is recognized as an environmentallyfriendly material.

• On theother hand, based on the waste management hierarchy, compostable paper cup isnot the most economical option.

What canwe do to find a balance?

• Byadopting the new technology “Paper+ water-based coating” to achieve paper cup fullyrecyclable and re-pulpable.

• Cuprecyclable in the paper stream that it is the most developed recycling streamaround in the world.

• Saveenergy, reduce waste, develop a circle and sustainable future for our only oneearth.

Dissociationtest of paper sheet

• Residualflakes were found in sheets made from both PE- and PLA-coated paper cups, whilethere were no film debris left in the hand made from water-based coating paper.

• Therefore,it is positive that water-based coating products are fully recyclable.

Filmremoval test

• Thistest was conducted with PE, PLA, and water-based coating cup.

• Theresult proved outstanding re-pulpability of water-based coating products

COMPLIANCE

• Fullycomply with FDA & EU & GB food safety requirements

• Therecyclability of the water-based paper sheet had been proved according toEN13430 “Requirements for packaging recoverable by material recycling”.
